General Reflection
In this quarter we had lots of various assignment and test/exams still occurs. Such as math, we had an assignment where we could bring it home and it's in an essay format, it's not what I expected from math assignment. DT as well we learned and experience new things which is wood cutting. Since this quarter is holistic learning it could be relate with many stuffs as this quarter there are lots of various learning and experiences in most of the subject. In my opinion this quarter was quite challenging as we need to adapt to new skills however it's an advantage to all of us as we could develop this skills and use it in the future.
Goal
My goal towards the third quarter would be getting advantage from the last quarter by applying some specific skills to some subjects. This is an advantage since we've experienced new things and applying it would be useful as well to improve and/or develop our critical thinking skills (humanities), wood crafting (DT), graph analysis (math), literacy analysis (english), composing music (arts music), and more. Those skills can contribute as well towards our scores to improve on the next quarter
Fundamental concept
Holistic Learning
Holistic learning means that the MYP is a program where you are always learning how to learn and always linking new knowledge to existing knowledge. The focus of holistic learning is the discovery of relationships between areas of knowledge, between the individual, communities and the world. The concept of holistic learning has led to the implementation of the Areas of Interaction. As you learn that real world issues require you to think outside of one subject you will learn to approach issues in a more successful way. As you discover how knowledge is interrelated you will be more motivated to learn, have a deeper longer lasting understand and be able to transfer knowledge to real life situations.
