Lab apparatus identification
This is the lab apparatus. Lab apparatus is the materials are needed for experiment and for the whole science.
1. Tripod Stand
Consist of seats and platforms atop a three legged structure usually made of steel, used for holding apparatus during heating.
2. Measuring Cylinder
Is a piece of laboratory equipment used to measure the volume of liquids.
3. Retort Stand
It is used for holding or supporting apparatus during experiments.
4. Evaporating Dish
Used to heat the chemical and evaporate liquids.
5. Test-tube
Also known as a sample tube, is a common piece of laboratory glassware, is used to hold a small experiment, which would be used to conduct an investigation.
6. Boiling tube
A boiling tube is a large tube made of glass, which is used in laboratory to strongly heat substances.
7. Filter Funnel
Is a laboratory funnel used for separating solids from liquids through laboratory process of filtering.
8. Beaker
Is simple container for stirring, mixing and heating liquids commonly used in many laboratories.
9. Conical Flask
Used to hold chemicals and to make chemical. Is simple container for stirring, mixing and heating liquids, use to heat substances, can be stirred and swirled without the risk of spilling and reduces the loss of the evaporation.
10. Flat Bottomed Flask
It’s a flask with a flat bottom, it is to hold different types of chemicals together to mix them.
11. Round Bottomed Flask
A glass flask used in a laboratory for holding chem ical liquids and solution, it has a sphere shape for uniform heating.
12. Test-tube Rack
It is used to hold test tubes containing chemicals waiting for further operation.
13. Test-tube Holder
Is designed to hold test tubes. It can be used to hold pipettes and string rods, etc
14. Wire Gauze
Can be used to support a container (such as beaker or flask) during heating.
15. Triple-Beam Scale
Is a type of balance to determine the mass of item or things.
Assessment: Science Soap Experiment
This my first experiment. The experiment is about the most soup powder that will dissolves the quikest in water. This is the lab report
Objective:
Which kind of soap powder dissolves the quickest in water?
Hypothesis:
I predict the water will change its smell and color. Because the detergent has a smell, which smells good, when it got mixed up with the water the smells will be change and the color
The detergent will become water. From a powder to a water
Variables:
- Independent:
Detergent= Types of detergent (3 types: Attack, Surf, Rinso)
- Dependent:
Water = measure the water with beaker (250ml),

Amount of water
Amount of each detergent

Method:
· 1st Test:
1. Fill all three beakers 125ml.
2. Prepare the stopwatch.
3. Put one table spoon of the Rinso detergent to beaker 1 and time the duration of how long the detergent would dissolve.
4. Record the time of how long it dissolves.
5. Repeat these steps with the Attack and Surf detergent to beaker 2 and 3.
· 2nd Test:
1. Fill all three beakers full.
2. Prepare the stopwatch.
3. Put one tea spoon of the Rinso detergent to beaker 1 and time the duration of how long the detergent would dissolve.
4. Record the time of how long it dissolves.
5. Repeat these steps with the Attack and Surf detergent to beaker 2 and 3.
· 3rd Test:
1. Fill all three beakers 500ml.
2. Prepare the stopwatch
3. Put one table spoon of the Rinso detergent to beaker 1 and time the duration of how long the detergent would dissolve.
4. Record the time of how long it dissolves.
5. Repeat these steps with the Attack and Surf detergent to beaker 2 and 3.
Conclusion:

- Attack: 28.19min
- Surf: 5.16min
- Rinso: 4.40min
- 2 test:
- Attack: 8.53min
- Surf: 3.98min
- Rinso: 3.29min
- 3 test:
- Attack: 9.11min
- Surf: 7.47min
- Rinso: 7.14min
Reflection
The lab apparatus identification is only for us to know the identification of it. Mr. Jared want us to know about the identification. This identification of the lab apparatus are also useful to able to use the apparatus.
This is my first experiment. And is the first time I make a Lab report. In this experiment, now I can know how to the a investigation before and after the experiment and the method, etc. I think my score would be bad, because before I done my lab report I still don't really understand about the scientific investigation that we always do it when we want to do a experiment. But after I have finish my lab report, I reflect and know more about the scientific investigation.
